Someone who is in a dependent circumstance (I mean, who requires assistance from other people to do the occupations of life day after day, how to eat, dress, Grooming,…) you can enter the services and economic benefits provided for in the Dependency Law.

¿Dónde hay que asistir para comenzar los trámites de aprobación de ayudas a la dependencia?
Aid to dependency has the possibility of being requested in the Health Centers of the Popular Security or in the Municipal Social Services, where there is a popular worker who will inform of the procedures to be done.

The initial approval and exhibition of the elementary documentation can be carried out by the linked person, a family member, a legal manager or our Public Management through a Social Worker.
¿Cuáles son los requisitos para pedir las ayudas a la dependencia?
Two essential requirements must be met:
- Finding yourself in a circumstance of permanent dependence (I mean, non-reversible) in any of the established grades.
- Reside in the autonomous social network requesting assistance.
However, in functionality of each Autonomous Social Network have the possibility of establishing other requirements (have resided for a certain time in that social network, etc.), therefore it is considerable to be informed in the Competent Public Management of each Community.
¿Cómo se obtiene el Reconocimiento del Nivel de dependencia?
To get the Recognition of the Level of Dependency it is essential to show the approval to the competent Public Management of your Social Network, attached with the documentation required by each autonomous social network. The most common requested documents are:
- If the link has a legal manager, accreditation of the representation and photocopy of the DNI.
- Certificate of registration.
- Last affirmation of the income or a file accrediting the income received.
- Popular report, prepared by the corresponding Social Services.
- Health report in which the main data of medical diagnoses related to the execution of the Simple Occupations of Life are collected Day after day (ABVD).
After teaching the approval and giving the elementary documentation, the corresponding Public Management will contact the linked person to set a day and time to make a valuation at your recurring address.
After this assessment, the Recognition of the Level of Dependency is obtained by means of a resolution of the competent Public Management of the Social Network, and is valid throughout the Spanish territory. This resolution establishes the services and benefits that correspond to the applicant in functionality of his Level of dependence.
- Grade I: moderate dependence. The person requires assistance, at least once a day, to do different simple occupations of life day after day.
- Grade II: severe dependence. The person requires, between two and three times a day, assistance from third parties to do different simple occupations of life day after day. Still in this way you do not need the persistent presence of an individual caregiver.
- Grade III: huge dependency. The person requires assistance for different occupations of life day after day several times a day, in this way as the important and continuous presence of another person.
The level of dependency that is dictated can be inspected at the request of the affected person, their representatives or management, if there is a change in circumstance or if an exclusive disease occurs.
¿A qué ayudas se puede elegir una vez se obtiene el Nivel de Dependencia?
Once the procedures have been completed and the circumstance of dependence on any of the named grades has been known, the Social Services will carry out the Individual Care Plan (PIA), in conjunction with the linked person, your family members and/or your legal manager.
It will detail the services and/or primary economic benefits, knowing the person's pretensions, the family and popular environment and the availability of services.
The benefits have the possibility of being with the appearance of services (telecare, contributes at home, day center, etc.) or financial aid, in the same way that we teach in the article "Law of dependency": economic degrees and benefits".
The period of resolution of benefits tends to be extensive, although the Act provides for a higher period of 6 months. The communication is made by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt from the applicant or his legal manager.
The PIA can be inspected at the request of the affected person, their representatives or management, or in case of change of housing.
People with dependency level II or III who need items for their assistance have the possibility to enter the Pensium Program, that makes it possible to pay for housing or care by means of periodic contributions guaranteed from the moment of the labor stipulation of the Program.
